陳冠名, Tan Loh Beng (nickname Kelvin) was born in 1960, Singapore. He did not pursue art but accidentally found his talent while soul searching to become a successful creative person. In 1984 he participated an art award competition held by Australia Business Council for Australia High Commission. 

His art work had capture the jury attention and they decided to create a third prize for the two categories. In 1985 when Australia celebrated their national day, 陳冠名, Tan Loh Beng artwork was feature in the local newspaper, Straits Times, 26th of January 1985, for his outstanding artwork and his art work is a permanent collection in Australia High Commission.

Although he had found fame in his art award but he did not pursue as an artist until his commitment to raise up a good family. After a long years of struggle in keeping up his interior design consultant firm and the children had growth up, he decided to return to his long lost talent, to become an artist.

From late 2018 to 2019, he created twenty pieces of artwork which he called his art style C.A.S.E stand for contemporary, abstract, symbol and expression. In early 2021 he had closed his design business and turn his attention in creating artwork and at the same times working as a freelance interior and logo designer
